PET preforms are made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material. The molten PET plastic is injected into the mold by an injection molding machine, and then cooled to form a plastic preform. After the preform is formed, it is blown, heated, stretched, and other processes to produce plastic bottles of various shapes and uses, such as packaging bottles for beverages, mineral water, medicines, cosmetics, etc.
